Tri Sports in Current Medical Literature

http://journals.lww.com/acsm-msse/Abstract/2013/05000/Age_and_Sex_Differences_Pertaining_to_Modes_of.22.aspx

This article analyzed the results of world class triathlon events (HIM and shorter, no full IM) between 2009 and 2011.  It noted that there was a difference in the times of male and female participants.  The interesting part of the study was that the differences in male and female performance was greatest in the younger and older age groups and less in the middle age ranges.  The other interesting finding was that the difference in performance was greatest in swimming compared to the other modes of locomotion.  The authors postulate that this information might help age-group athletes better target their training to enhance their ROI.

Honestly, they sounded almost like RnP wrote the paper.  Food for thought.

Also, anyone interested (or nerdy) enough to want the full text, just say and i can send it to you.
