Week 17 wednesday swim in the books. 6x500 at RR pace-2-3s. I have never done a workout like this before and I was fretting about hitting the paces. Things I learned:
1) after 4-5 500s, a 6th 500 is a piece of cake.
2) it took me 2 of the 500s to dial in the effort level for the appropriate pacing
goal was 9:00/500 SCM. did 200 wu, 100wd for 3300m total, 1:02:00 swim time, 1:09:00 total time in pool.
This is so strange, swimming used to be the one thing I dropped if given the chance. But lately I'm loving my swim workout. Not sure why- I think maybe because it's the only place right now where I feel like I'm hitting all the sets and seeing improvement.

intervals 6x500/30s: 9:14, 9:07, 8:59, 8:54, 9:00, 8:54.
