Quassy

So yesterday I raced the Rev3 half and I was hoping to crush my 2011 time of 5:24. My training has been going great and I felt fantastic heading into this race. I tried to calibrate my quarg before the race, but with all the PM's present it wouldn't let me. This might of been my downfall. With no power meter I was forced to rely on heart rate, I kind of guessed my cap would be 160-165 on the hills. I felt decent on the bike rode the hills steady. The run was a mess as it was very hot. My heart rate would not go below 155 for most of the run even though I was running a slow pace. I had to walk the hills. I was hoping for a 1:45-1:50 split but ended with a 2:10 This course shredded me up yesterday. Any thought would be greatly appreciated. I am a little nervous now with L.P.
