Missed Big Day

Coaches, 

Due to life, was unable to do the Big Day workout this past Sat in week 18 of my HIM plan.  Disappointed as I was anxious to execute it...was wondering if it is a bad idea to do it this Wednesday or Thursday (6/12, 6/13) as my race is on 6/23.  I've been away from my bike for the past week and am knocking out a 2 hour ABP ride tomorrow (6/11) and I'm feeling I need to do the Big Day and at least one more 2-3 hour ride.

  • Mike, you can so it Thursday in place of the long run...but you can't do both. The intent of the big day is nutrition and stamina review, not necessarily fitness (see the Wiki post on it under Self Coaching)...but it can be a big confidence booster too!!!
