Week 19

Taper is here and I'm flat on my back with a cold.  I'm actually not too disappointed by the timing of this one since I was able to get the two best weeks of training before the virus (my neck and shoulder finally feel good - the rest helped) and should be back to 100% by the time I get to CDA.  I'm getting my checklists ready and fine tuning my plan.  I'm getting excited to get this thing going  How's everyone else?

  • You were training so hard the cold couldn't catch you and then you stopped and it did. Been there, done that. Stay hydrated, get lots of rest, Vitamin C (or Emergen'C, Airborne, Endurance Immune especially if you are flying to CDA). This is the first time I've written out checklists this far out before the race and I like it! Things are piling up on living room floor as I add them to the list - while trying to keep everything as simple as I can. Pick up bike from shop this afternoon - all tuned up and ready to go. Looking forward to meeting everyone next week.
