  • Some awesome swim times! Go TEAM!
  • Been checking in an out all day, looks like everyone is starting to roll into the finish line. Congrats everyone, haven't had the chance to read any more official reports than that. Curious how the weather was, water temp, how the rolling start went, etc.

Look forward to hearing from the finishers.

  • Awesome results! Looking forward to the race reports.
  • Congrats to all those who race CDA! X3 on the reports!
  • Will be posting my race report once I can pull my thoughts together, but short answer on swim start is that is was wonderful. Plenty of warm up time, and plenty of room once in the water -- still some contact of course, but nothing like I'd read about in previous IMCDA reports, or experienced first-hand in IMTX. I self-seeded in the 1hr15min to 1hr30min pool (they had two signs connected by rope to separate the seeding groups) and it took ~5 min for me to get in -- can't imagine the later groups were waiting too much longer and I'd say everyone was In well before 7am. They started folks at 6:30am.

Btw, they should make it mandatory for WTC to offer swim warm-up, as it makes such a difference to the initial shock of getting in the water.
  • X2 on mike's comments about the swim start. Some contact at the turns and coming back in, but overall I was surprised by the lack of contact and the ability to find clear water. And, yes, warm up was great to eliminate that initial cold water shock!
