Christina's "help me!" Macro Thread

Hello!

I was looking at my calendar and realized that I will be unable to do my prescribed workouts on Saturday, June 22, Sunday June 23, and Wednesday through Saturday, June 26 through 29th.  Those days I'll be learning how to ride a dirt bike and camping.  I can easily squeeze in a run those days, but I'll be in the middle of nowhere and can't bike or swim.

On Monday and Tuesday, the 24th and 25th, I'll be climbing South Sister (10,000ft) and another 8,000 foot peak.  I won't be able to run/bike/swim those days, but maybe intense hiking might suffice??

So that's a week off  image  I did My First Tri last weekend and realized I'm in decent shape.  Finished eighth in my age group (of 28 women) and that's all without training!

Also, I'm doing Seattle to Portland on July 13th and 14th.  That's 100 miles each day.  I MIGHT do the one-day trip which is 211 miles on Saturday, July 13th.  Not sure which would be best for my IMFL plan.

Thanks so much for your help.

You're far enough out from IMFL that none of this really matters with regards to your training for IMFL. Don't worry about it and enjoy your trip. That said, it would be great if you could still run 3-5x/wk during those week. Doesn't matter how long or hard, just run. In my experience, camping motorcyclists have a much different frame of mind and sense of urgency in the morning: wake up around 8a, and not riding until 9 or 10a. I'm always up at first light, have coffee, bang out a quick 30-40' trail run and am back before everyone else is awake. Then I'm able to give them shit all day, bonus :-)
