Not sure what to do!!

OK, I seem to be really lost here and have no clue as to what I am really suppose to do!   I have the OS Intermed Plan and at my 4th week.  Do I just continue to follow that and nothing else or is there something in here that I am missing.  I've been here for about two weeks now and it is really overwhelming, there is so much to look at and it is getting confusing and frustrating as well.

I feel like I should be doing other stuff.  Like on the Training Page where it says you don't have a plan.  I check Training Plan settings and choose OS Intermediate 20 wks, change end date, click Change Plan Now.  Then what?  Am I missing something here?

Thanks for any Help,

Rich

  • Rich- Hi! There is a lot of information in the site. It will take time to get it all. One thing is not clear from your post- can you see that there is Week 5, Week 6 under the training plan? And can you view them?
At this time, unless you have an A race coming up, then the OS should be all you follow. EXCEPT - if you want to swim, there is a swim hack program. There are core exercises if you don't know what to do for core work. This is under the Resources---->Training Map tab.

I have not messed with the Beta 2.0 program to manage your own season schedule. Sounds like you are in that program.. Look at the thread about that program.

Come back. Don't tear your hair out. We can get you through.
  • Thanks for the Quick reply!  Yes there is alot of reading here, very overwhelming!!

I start swimming in 2 more weeks.  I'll just continue following the OS PLan for now.  And all I'm looking at right now is the OS PDF version of the plan.  Is there something else?  Also no race until June.

  • I would really focus on the Training Map. There is definitely a lot here, and it takes a while to absorb and get the hang of things, but if you take the time to go through the training map articles and spend some time reading, you'll be a lot better off. Follow along in the forums, ask lots of questions. We're all pretty friendly and willing to help.
