Race day nutrition

Hey Coach P,

Wanted to double check with you. Let me preface this with my physical stats. 5'2" 125lbs. That being said my original plan of doing 2 gels/hour seems to be a bit excessive as between the Perform and the two gels my calorie count would seem a bit excessive. 175 calories from perform and 220 calories from gels. I know your concern is with sodium so I do have Salt stick caps to supplement. The only reason why I wanted to cut back a little on the calories is that I didn't get a chance to experiment with the 2 gels and perform on my longer rides. I used the bonk bar/hr 250 calories and 100 calories/hr from skratch. Just wanted to double check with you.
