Limbo period

Hey Coach, I'm doing a 1/2 IM on Sunday 06/30.  I am schedules for IM AZ, and that is my "AAA" race, I know that my IM plan should start sometime mid-August.  What plan should I follow in the gap betwwen 06/30 to the start of my IM plan?  Thanks, Mike

  • @mike, no worries. You should recover first, not only b/c you just (will have) raced, but b/c you still have a ways to go to your AAA race. image

    I suggest 1 week very light / mostly off, week 2 unstructured...then you have 4 weeks until 12 to go. You can drop the IM plan in to get going (starting at 16 wks vs 12 wks)....or you can drop in GetFast for a few weeks first. If IMAZ is your first IM, then I vote the first option -- more time to build up. If you are a grizzled vet, or disgruntled with the "longish stuff for your HIM, you can GetFast...then do the final 12 weeks...
