Post race Debrief
Hi Everyone!
Congrats on your race and your accomplishments! Now that we have given you a few days to hopefully reacquaint yourself with...yourself, your family, your job, it's time to discuss "what next?"
File a Report!
You have two options...the first is to do it online in the Race Report Forum in written form. The second is to set up a podcast with the coaches to review the event in a 15-minute phone call. If you'd like to do the podcast (please, please!) then:
-
Set one up with Coach Patrick here: http://meetme.so/patrickmccrann -- Please remember to include your phone number.
-
To set one up with Coach Rich, please send an email to admin@endurancenation.us and note in the Subject line PODCAST VOLUNTEER and your RACE NAME.
Submit Your Pictures!
We'd love to see what your camera saw all week...please go to the Resources / Racing Member Central/View Submit photos page to post up your ZIP file of race week and race day pictures. Please email support@endurancenation.zendesk.com with a heads up once uploaded.
The Crucible
If you want a complete analysis of your race day bike execution from the Coaches, please email your WKO file to admin@endurancenation.us with:
-
Subject: Crucible Analysis YOUR NAME
-
Your age, weight, and FTP.
-
Any relevant notes re the file; i.e. a head wind, a bad bonk, etc.
Assessing Your Ironman Using The Four Keys Approach
Did you have great race, a poor race or something in between? Coach Patrick has a great blog post that helps you think about your race day using the Four Keys. A must read for every TeamEN member post-race.
Post Race Surveys and Data Collection:
-
Race Performance Survey: Help us, and your fellow teammates, figure out what works and how to improve our EN race execution mojo by completing this very important survey!
-
Race Results Survey -- We use this one to compile everyone’s results and publish them weekly.
-
Race Recap survey -- The 30,000ft view of your race experience at the race venue!
Taking Time Off: Two Months Hold Here
Sometimes after an “A” race you need more than a transition plan...your “to do” list is longer than your wetsuit sleeve and your bike seat looks more like a torture device than a high-priced piece of carbon. If you find yourself looking forward to sleeping and eating more than training, you might be due for a break!
If so, take advantage of our annual “two months off” option -- you click the link above and it’ll stop your next two payments. If you want to make it fewer or more weeks, just be sure to email support@endurancenation.zendesk.com (after you set the hold) with your desired re-start date and we’ll set you up!
Your Transition:
-
Load a Transition Training Plan -- Head over to the My Plan page and load up a recovery plan to get you doing just enough of the "right" stuff so you don't do any further damage.
-
Here is a Post Race information page in the wiki with additional information.
Need Season Planning Help?
STEP AWAY FROM THE MACRO THREAD!!
After a minimum of 7-10 days have passed (you do NOT need to be thinking about training at all right now!) please take this Season Planning Survey. Rich will plan out the remainder of your season for you! Or visit the Macro Thread for less formal guidance. Either way, athletes talking to us about the rest of their season, or next season, less than 24hrs after finishing their Ironman is a huge red flag for us. You MUST unplug your head!!
Congrats on your race...enjoy your well-earned downtime. As you transition from Triathlete to Citizen, please let us know your intentions so we can do our best to help!
Many thanks,
RnPnBrenda

I think the links are off a bit. The Race Performance survey goes to the 140.6 version. I am pretty sure there is a separate 70.3 version (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ap_8vPNkZwajdC1DLXhkeUtIaHFiNVJONFRobE9uVVE&authkey=CKvJn8QJ&hl=en&authkey=CKvJn8QJ#gid=0). The Race Results Survey is just taking me to the Dashboard. The Race Recap Survey goes to the 140. survey, although there is a place for "other" races.
Thanks,
Wm
