The Trek Speed Concept is getting a redesign for 2014

That's Chris Lieto on the new Trek Speed Concept.  The aerobar and stem setup looks interesting.

Already got an email out to my friend who owns a LBS about when and how I can get the first one.

It looks like they took the TriRig design for the bars and consolidated it down to a single platform.

Notice the new Trek bar has a single riser whereas the TriRig bars still have two. I hadn't seen that before. Bike looks super slippery.

I would also like to see a more modular bar/stem setup like the new BMC TM01. Looks like it may have moved in that direction.

I also hope Trek made it easier to wrench. The current SC is a PITA.

Nice looking bike. As the Lava article mentions, seems like some design cues from the P5 on the seattube/toptube junction. I also like that the 9.9 frameset is somewhat more subtle in the graphics. The old SC graphics were always a bit much for me with TREK emblazoned on there like 20 times.

Not that I can afford it anyway, but if I could I think it'd be pretty hard to go wrong with the new SC.
