Road ID - which model
Decided that given my medical history, it's probably a good idea to get one of these. Not sure if the elite or sport would be the best choice. Suggestions??

I've had the 'sport' for years. Never workout without it ... As far as I know, the difference between Sport and Elite is comfort/design, so go with what works best for you. The key thing is to engrave the critical information. I don't have the Interactive one, b/c I'm not sure an EMT will take the time to review the information - although I'm sure it'd be useful in a hospital. The guys at aerogeeks wrote something about these a few weeks ago. Maybe that'll help:

Here is a coupon code that I got the other day. [PSA - my youngest wore out the engraving on her slim. I emailed them to ask about a warranty replacement. They sent it without any further questions. Great service!]

Given the recent TDF discounts & trivia, I was reminded that I should probably get a road ID.
It looks like Road ID has updated the choices since 2013. It sounds like silicon is still preferable over nylon. But in silicon they have a stretch, pin tuck and clasp. Anyone have input on these choices? And and input on the different width of the bands? Is the only reason to have a larger one for aesthetics and maybe so it is easier for EMS to spot it? Thanks!
Someone in EN group me just suggested getting faceplate to go on garmin band. I like the sound of that. One less thing on wrist. Any pros or cons from your experience? Thanks!
@Larry Peters Which Garmin do you have? I have a 935 and a Fenix 5. I recently bought a RoadID Sidekick ID for each of them... I used to wear the road ID bands and inevidibly I'd either lose it or forget to put it on... I always have one of my watches on (935 during all workouts and Fenix 5 pretty much all other times). So now, I always have my RoadID on me. It took me about a week to get used to it being on there, but have since completely forgotten about it.
Said a different way, I STRONGLY endorse getting the Sidekick and just putting it on your watch and then it will always be on you...
@John Withrow , awesome, thanks! You are the 2nd teammate to recommend that. I just ordered one with a 20% discount from EN :). I have a Garmin 935. I really appreciate the advice and recommendation!
