Couple of additional resources for previewing the course. Nothing like being there and actually riding it, but coming from Springfield, MO, I am going to have to rely on reports. Anyway, there is a good visual on MapMyRide and if you expand it to full screen you can get % grade data on the climbs
Also, if you have an iPhone or Android phone and download the Ben Greenfield Fitness app he does a special video on his preview ride of the course. It's also pretty good. I think the main take home message that I have gotten is that unlike the Penticton course that is a fast, long downhill to T2 after the Yellow Lake climb, Whistler is the opposite. You can get a false sense of confidence on the flat section only to be kicked in the butt by the long climb that ends the bike segment. Look forward to meeting everyone in person next month.
i emailed wtc. the highway portion should not be a problem during race day. the bikes have the full highway both ways. so we do not have to ride on the shoulders.

Thanks.
Yes the bike course sounds like what I figured out on paper.

I'm going to ride it this weekend, any advice on things I should keep an eye out for or report on? Should be a fun time!
