Rachel's Micro Thread- 70.3 this weekend

I am in week 12 of IM plan for Wisconsin but am racing Muncie 70.3 this Saturday (B race). This was my plan for the week, based on the wiki:

 M: swim

T: bike test in AM, run 45 min in PM

W: swim

R: run 45 min in AM; swim in PM

F: off

S: race

How does that sound? Is the bike test tomorrow ok with the race on Saturday? I just got the powermeter a few weeks ago so I haven't done a real bike test with it yet, just been guessing, and would like to have an actual target for the race. And if the bike test is a go for tomorrow, the weather doesn't sound like it is going to cooperate. 17 mph winds and potential storms. Will this scew my test? Is testing inside too different than outside?

  • You could test on Wednesday too and run / swim on Tuesday. In that case, just do the 20' effort, but yes we want it outside!!!! The rest of your week is fine...
