RR Day HIM training

I'm currently using the Advanced HIM plan for Rev 3 Anderson, SC and have a race rehearsal coming up in about 2 weekends.  The plan schedule calls for 60 minutes swim, 180 bike, and 60 run which seems like i'll be doing more than i need too on the swim and bike.  The swim should take me around 35 minutes and about 2:40 on the bike....shaving off about an hour of work.  Should i just cut it short?  If it were IM training i would go by time for sure but trying to keep a check on the time investment.

  • John has valid point above, but I do the RR to practice my race execution rather build fitness. I swim no more than 1.2 miles and bike no further than 56 miles. Then run 6. The times are guidelines because you don't want slower athletes to swim and bike longer than those times. Too much damage to the system.

This is a chance to wear all your gear, test your nutrition, hydration, etc.  You can also use this to set estimates for power targets, TSS, all of it.

    So, it's style choice.
