Daniel Oliver's Macro Thread

I have been skipping most of the swim workouts to make sure that I can get the bike and run time in that I need with proper recovery.  I'm still trying to get accustomed to the volume and pace so that when I switch to the ironman plan in three weeks I will be ready.

Is this the right approach to get the biggest ROI?  At what point should I really be dialing in the swim efforts?  'A' race is 18 weeks out.  My previous ironman times: 1:22 swim, 7:00 bike, 5:45~ run

You need to stick with the prescribed swim workouts and frequency when you get within 12wks of the race.
