Too late to switch?

I did my first ride on the Wisconsin bike course this weekend and found it was tough to keep with my nutrition plan of powerbars and gu's due to constantly climbing or descending. I think Infinit would be a good option to just keep sipping. My concern is that I don't have too much time left to practice with new nutrition before Wisconsin. Not sure what the turn around for getting Infinit would be, but I assume I wouldn't have it for the race rehearsal at the camp this weekend. Am I too late in the game to change nutrition? I'd stick to my original plan of gels for the run, this is just for the bike. Thanks!

  • Hi Rachel,
Infinit turns around quickly. Message or call them for expresssrrvice.
    Good luck on the course.
I never had an adjustment or difficulty with their product.

  • Have you considered Perform? Drinking Perform along with your Gels and Powerbar routine has worked for many people. I personally use PowerGels instead of GUs to stay away from the Vitamins and Powergels have a higher sodium count.

I don't think its too late to switch but would consider changing to something that they are offering on the course in Perform sports drink. Just a thought.
  • Rachel-Take each long ride as an opportunity to practice new nutrition. I think you still have plenty of time (4 long rides, to be exact) to iron out nutrition. THis weekend at the camp I am trying out a new strategy. If it works, awesome. If it doesn't, Ill try something new the following week. Better now than September 8th!
