    Jonathan- great race and great report! It was awesome to see you during race week. It sounds like your mind was your strongest muscle out there on the course. Nice effort. Just one question... What are you going to rename your blog?

    I am going to keep the name. It is kind of catchy. "Just Finish Fatty"... It is unique and are we all not try to finish any race that we do.

    Great job. With everything going on, you stayed with your plan and worked to fix what was not helping you get closer to the finish.

    And after all the hard work all day to see "SHIT, I just crossed the line." is just priceless. ......and I totally understand. (I think I ran the last 1/4 mile from the brew pub a little to fast)

    Love that you had the presence of mind to troubleshoot your nutrition issues on the fly and adjust. Your mental game is right on, the training will only get better. Relax and enjoy your great accomplishment! Btw I have been around a long time but the toothpaste thing is a new one for me!image

    @Kathleen, Someone at training camp told me about someone doing the toothpaste. It is awesome!!! you get a clean mouth and it is a small way to be refreshed.

    I always thought half the fun of an IM was getting all grotty - salt caked, moss teeth, etc. You're showing us a new path!

    Great report and a lot of great information as I start preparing for IMLP in 2014. Love the toothbrush idea. Totally get it. Thank you for putting it all out there.

    Gotta admit while I'll never brush my teeth during an IM , it's one of those things I can't wait to do after a race! Congrats and thanks for the great RR!

    I think i just started a new thing. "TEAM EN, the Cleanest Teeth Team!!!"

    Keep in mind, i am on the course for a long time, and i was not bidding for any type of slot, except a finisher slot. So i could spend the minute brushing away... while volunteers looked at me like a complete freak.
