IMLT Wheel Setup (Moved to Tahoe Forum)

Comments

  • This is a great question Dusty. I'm looking forward to feedback on your question. Maybe you should move this to the IMLT forum to see what Al has to say.
  • The course is flat and fast...with the exception of 2 x ~2.5-3mi climbs at ~5-9%.

Aero trumps weight, always. This assumes that you've shaved off other weight, as a clean bottle setup, will support yourself off the course, etc.

  • Cool, Thanks Coach.  I am going off course and will have one between the arms bottle and one bottle behind me.  Nothing on the frame itself.  Disc it is.

  • Eric, Great idea.  I'll post there for others to see/learn from

  • I'm not a mechanical engineer, but my understanding is that wheel weight, at the level,of the additional 300 gms of my disc cover, only matters if I'm tryin to accerlate up a hill, which Rich tells me I'm not allowed to do. So I always slap my 5 yr old $70 Wheelbuilder Wheelcover onto my Zipp 404, unless WTC disallows it.
