Nope. Registered for Mount Desert Island Oct. 20. Be my 10th consecutive run there. Registration is still open but you know the position of RnP on fall marathons......
For me, it is my 'home' race. It was also my first race of any length. I think it is by far the best course out there. During peak foliage, well organized, point to point, and stunning scenery. It's got hills in the beginning, hills in the middle, and some long hills at the end. What more could you ask for? I measure all other marathons against it but have not found a better race anywhere ... yet.
Next year is a non-IM year. I may do a half or 2, maybe some SC races too but no IM for me. I promised Carole I'd take a year off from IM so a fall mary isnot an issue for me.
Leslie- just saw your post after poking around. Excuse the delayed response. I opted to do the Hartford Half this year (same day) instead of the full. I did the full last year. I'm doing IMLP 2014 (my first) and after reading links like the one Steve posted above, opted out of doing a full marathon again this season. Not sure if you registered for it, but if you did and have any questions about the course, etc, let me know and maybe I can help. Good luck!
