Hey Coach, CURRENTLY: I'm in week 9 of the Intermediate IM plan ending 10/26 for A race "Beach 2 Battleship".

I have decided to do a half iron for the first time during ironman training...."peasantman 1/2 iron distance" 8/18/13.  I figured far enough out from B2B to recover and begin to build again.  QUESTION 1:  how should I approach next week's(week of 8/12/13) training?  I'm planning on taking Saturday OFF, day before the race.  I'm also thinking of skipping(shortening) my Thursday long run on 8/15 because of the 1/2 iron long run sunday?

QUESTION 2: how should I approach the week after from a recovery standpoint?  I'll definitely take Monday off.
