terry's macro-need guidance

Coaches, Completed first HIM Timberman this past weekend. From the start, the plan was to finish sub 7 hours as a first timer, having participated in two sprints as my triathlon experience to date. Completed 6:28 and also accomplished goal number two which was to lose 25 lbs while training. Also, had a great time and enjoyed being in the moment the whole day. Thank you for a great plan.

So...now what?  I am planning a sprint 9/22/13 with my three daughters and sons in law for family fun.  This week I will do nothing other than walk the dogs. Do I start back to early internediate HIM, which is what I did for Timberman or another plan? Then, after the sprint will  I go into the transition weeks until OS and 2014 planning? Hoping to do two HIM next year, Quassy and IMMT  and aiming for sub 6:00 and 25 more lbs. Running faster will be my goal. Plan is to get these done before age 60! Any and all help is apprectiated.<img width="20" height="20" alt="" onmousedown="return false;" title="<img src='/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif' align="absmiddle" border="0" />" src="http://members.endurancenation.us/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" /></p>

  • Hi Terry,

Congrats! Please consider writing a race report for us in the Race Report Forum.

Then please take the Season Planning Survey under the Training tab above. I'll plan everything out for you, including 2014.

  • Thnaks. Did the survey and will await your advice. As I am planning a local sprint 9/22, does the intermediate short distance plan up until that date sound reasonable. Started Saturday, 6 days after HIM and feel ok.
  • Hey Terry,
I hooked this up for you on Tuesday so please check your email.
  • Got It!  Many  thanks.
