IMMT Lodging

So now that I'm in to IMMT,  where should I stay?  Hotels?  Any real estate agents who know of house or condo rentals?

Thanks for any and all input.

  • We stayed at Le Westin, room 626. View of the swim start and the run goes past the fron door.
  • I just booked La Tour des Voyaguers. It has a kitchen which will help save money and is a little less expensive than some of the other places. It is still a short walk to transition.
  • Although its a little pricey, I would recommend the residence inn. You literally walk across a street to get to the finish line, and a little further down the hill to get to the expo, transition, etc. the Kandahar is also right there. Nothing like getting your medal, chocolate milk, water, solar blanket, then taking 5 minutes to walk thru the crowds to get home. Also makes it super easy to get back for the midnight!!
Breakfast (although not spectacular is included every morning), and even starts at 4:30 on race morning.

Several of us ENers stayed there this year as well.

Marriott doesn't let you register a full 12 months in advance (either online or on phone), so as soon as it was open, I booked the first three days of the weekend online, then called back a little later and extended my stay on the back-end.

Also, most hotels that wknd will require a five day minimum stay.

The swim start is a 1/3 mile walk (at most) from the area as well.

PM me if you have any questions.
  • Scott,
I reserved my room for next year at the Residence Inn last week. The reservation manager at the hotel took the reservation "manually" because it could not be entered into their system until September.

I reserved one of the two floor, 2BR suites. It was $469 CDN per night.
  • I rented a condo listed on vrbo for 1300.  About 1/3 of what lake placid got out of me.  Heading up wednesday through monday.

  • X2 what Scott said about the Residence Inn. Excellent breakfast buffet and we had a room with a full kitchen which allowed us to cook our own meals most of the week. Prices at restaurants in the Village are "tourist" prices and will kill your budget fast if you plan to eat every meal out. The location and convenience of that spot was perfect both for the athletes in our group as well as the Sherpas
  • Thanks for the great advice
  • I just rented a 2 br house via vrbo.com for 7 nights and it is less than what we spent in LP. There are also a lot of rental options via Tripadvisor too.
  • I have a 3 BR suite at the Westin. It is at a preferred rate of 307.40 Canadian.
I booked this anticipating that my kids were coming home from camp the prior week, Unfortunately, camp is a week later and they will be getting home in NY while dad is trotting around MT.

If anyone would like to share this suite with me, I believe the 2 BRs up for grabs are Queens, let me know your interest.
I currently have it booked Thursday - Monday, but could extend to Weds if agreed upon.
