Tapering to Wisconsin...slight injury + tahoe question.
I hit pretty much everything the last few weeks...the only exception being that I move the RR from Saturday to Sunday, then took Monday (yesterday) off.
Ironically after being 100% healthy through all the heavy training, I fell in the middle of the night onto a bedpost which smacked my clavicle. I got it X-rayed yesterday, and nothing fractured, and it feels a little better today.
I am taking off from today's Z4 bike, and the 30 minute run. But how important is it that I do the swim tomorrow if I am the slightest bit sore? I.e., is it vital to get "some" time in the water this week?
Last question, somewhat aside: So I happen to be signed up for both Wisconsin and Tahoe. Long story. Anyway, am firm on Madison, but there are some options to get to Tahoe and stay w/friends, have them take bike too, so may just be the flight cost to go there. Question is...what are your thoughts on my actually "doing" Tahoe two weeks after Wisconsin, if I totally take it easy? May even have to walk much of the marathon, but really have no idea. Is this too risky to even TRY to do? I did do CdA and Boulder 70.3 this year, and so far all has gone well health-wise!
Thanks,
Greg

Tahoe is fine (crazy, but fine)...but don't let that creep into your tiny skull (we all have tiny skulls after mile 18) and give you an "out" on race day....
