Has anyone used Ken Glah's travel agency before?  Thoughts?

    Haven't used them, but I think I will if I go out of country for an IM.

    He was a few condo units down from me @ IMFL. Seemed like a nice dude, I kept having to use his pump as I forgot mine.

    I met him at the Summit at IMFL too! I'm always amazed when I meet these "giants" of triathlon; they're always so small!

    I never used his service. But, I can tell you that when I went to DU Worlds a few years ago USAT had switched from using his services to doing the travel arrangements themselves and I heard many moans and groans from the USAT Team athletes complaining about USAT's lack of ability in this area compared to the great service they had received from Ken in the past. I'm not sure exactly what the political fall-out was there- but I can tell you that lots of Team USAT folks were already planning to make arrangements direct with Ken for future Worlds events rather than dealing with USAT again (and by the way- he was at Worlds as well and did have a handful of athletes booked through him so I got a chance to meet him- seemed like a nice guy).

     I have not personally used EST, but know someone who did and was happy with service.

    His wife, Jan Wanklyn, used to do ART for me when I lived in DE> Sometimes he would be hanging around, quiet but nice. Jan was great. If I do a race overseas< I would use him

    Thanks for the comments guys...I have heard good things from one friend who used him for Ironman Cozumel last year, but wanted to hear everyone else's thoughts.

     Yes, 100% use EST for travel.

     

    I have now used Ken Glah's travel services for two IMs.  It was fantastic and Ken is a really nice guy.  He goes all out to take care of you and family that may accompany you.  Plus, you get to interact with, and get to know well, a lot of other athletes within his travel group.  When I leave the USA, to do another IM, I will not even consider going unless I use EST.
