Just getting started with my Macro Thread...
Now that IMWI 2013 is over, I'm planning 2 weeks "rest" / 8 weeks diligent focus on weight loss / body composition focus with my corefit group... and out season starting 10/28.
Have a relay marathon (5 team members) in early November 2013.
Working on race plan for 2014...
Upper Dublin Sprint Tri in May (doing this with a group of first timers I've encouraged to come try triathlon)
Syracuse 70.3 in June (?)
IMWI 2014 in Sept
Other suggestions since I'm still working on running? I've had a lot of people suggest a full marathon in spring 2014. Would also like to do more OWS to improve swimming in rough conditions and OW sighting.

Thanks for the call today; it was very helpful. Looking forward to doing some running again. Quick question - on the plan, when I see it on line or in print, there are these black diamonds with ? inside. Sometimes its easy to figure out what symbol isn't showing up, others not so much. Can I send you a screenshot?

My training took a hit... I've been traveling a ton and also had tough time just doing what I needed to... in addition to foot pain issues which are now hopefully resolved.
I will be modifying my season.

I think that I may need to end the season after CAC and focus on the disciplines outside of "training for racing"...

I'm probably not going to do IMWI this year. Just don't think I can pull it off. I'll make the final call after CAC.
In any event, I'm interested in doing a marathon in May 2015. I feel like I need to accomplish a long, focused running challenge, as it's a huge weakness and my biggest limiter... so, with the marathon training plans...
1. should I start with beginner or do intermediate??? what would dictate that choice???
2. what's the difference between a "balanced" plan and the regular plans? What would make one select one over the other?
I'm thinking my next 140.6 attempt would be late 2015 (e.g., Florida) or some time in 2016.

Sorry to hear about IMWI but...it is what it is. Patrick owns the marathon corner so I recommend you ask these questions of him in the Micro Forum. However, he's doing his LP camp this weekend so please expect a delay.
