I'm currently taking some downtime after my last HIM and plan to transition into a running build for a few weeks to improve my run durability and hip/core muscles. Last year I started in the Nov OS and then transitioned to the run focus in march before starting the HIM plan for IMMT 70.3. I am doing the same race next year (i.e june 25?) , so I am wondering if it you think it will be the same plan i.e. Nov OS start/run or bike focus/HIM plan, or will I start in the Jan OS? Reason for asking is I might schedule a couple of days off in nov and dec to allow for some of the longer workouts if I am in the Nov OS.

When to start the OS (NovOS vs JanOS) is more a question of where your head is now / will be on Oct 28th vs the dates of your races next year. That is, will you be in a place where you can commit yourself to the work, beginning Oct 28th. If yes, then start the NovOS and the rest of your season will be similar to this year. If no, then start in January.
