Buying A Used Trainer - Anything in particular I should be looking at?

Hi.  I'm looking to buy a used trainer off of Craigslist or some such site.  I think I've landed on the CycleOps Fluid2 as my first trainer (though I'm not married to that) and I've seen some for sale between $125-$225 (& higher). 

Recognizing that I've got NO experience with a bike trainer - my questions are:

  1. When looking at a used trainer what parts should I be paying special attention to?
  2. Are there any signs of one that's about to die?
  3. What questions should I be asking that I'm too ignorant to know I should be asking?
