  • Brenda - can we get credit after the fact? I ask because Gen volunteered at the Medical Tent at Wisconsin, and she is an EN Training Plan athlete?
  • I believe we might be able to Joe.
  • I did the survey and checked Sweden and Muncie for after the fact credit. I signed up for both of those before the program existed. I also checked off Cozumel for this year. You think they would add ALL IMs to the list since there are a lot of folks that travel from the US to do these. Anyway, I have my fingers crossed that we get early registration for IMFL 2014.
  • Brenda, for what it's worth, I also volunteered at IM Wisc (bike handler 7:30-9:30 shift).

  • I know we had volunteers at IMLP and IMWI. Please post up here if you volunteered or if you know team members who did.

  • Here is another opportunity for us to get some valuable points in the challenge. This is from Liz Kollar on the Triclub Challenge FB page.

-Clubbers located in the San Francisco Bay area, San Diego and Phoenix! We are winding down the season so racking up the points should be on your mind! We have three Iron Girl running events coming up - athletes in your club or team that race these events add BONUS points to your club totals - 750 pts. per athlete! Please encourage the women of your club to come out and race - these events are great fun, the ladies get treated to a catered post race breakfast and the Top 3 in each age group get Iron Girl jewelry! Please be sure to let me know who is racing for you at these events so I can add the bonus points! www.irongirl.com

Lets get some of our EN Chica's at these races. Let me know, so I can forward your names to Liz.
  • Brenda — there are two US 70.3 evetns left in 2013, Austin and Miami. You might want to send a reminder out. Is there a fall 70.3 group or anything similar?
  • This just in from Ironman Tri Club Facebook page

Clubs Racing IRONMAN Florida - last year when the TriClub program was a baby that no one knew about - we did a little food drive (in association with the IRONMAN Foundation) for the Panama City Beach Food Bank. You guys may not know this but we fed 20 families with those donations. This year we want to feed 100 families!

With this amazing community of clubs we can make a HUGE difference in the life of the families who live in and around PCB and need just a little bit of help.... sooooooo.... when your athletes check in at the TriClub table on Wednesday and Thursday of race week, please ask them to run by the local Wal-Mart store first and pick up some non-perishable food.. our hope is to fill a Food Bank pickup truck to make the holidays a little brighter in this amazing host community.

Clubs that donate at least 25 lbs. of food (I will have a scale) with receive 1,000 Foundation points toward the annual award. The club that brings the most food will receive a FREE 70.3 entry for the open race of their choice (Oceanside is the only race that is closed BTW). The local news was thrilled last year with the 20 families that we fed. Let's show what the club community can do!!!!

  • Brenda, I had to pony-up for a foundation slot, how does EN get "credit"? Also, if one or more of my 3 kids who will be at the race does the ironkids thing, who do we inform/how do I make sure the team gets the points?
  • Steve, there will be a check in table when you register and you can share that info with them, but you can also go into the EN Event Sheet and put that information there for me. I send that document to the organizer.
  • Thanks for all your hard work Brenda!
  • I was a wetsuit stripper at IMWI this year.
  • Just in from the TriClub Program
One of the really great things about the TriClub program for us is that we can call on you and your teams to provide us valuable feedback for all things IRONMAN. Later this week (Thursday) we will be emailing you a brief survey about the NBC IRONMAN World Championship Broadcast. We are very interested in learning what your club thinks about this year's broadcast so we can use your feedback to build the show for next year. The survey is electronic - should only take a few minutes. We will be giving your teammates 150 Volunteer pts for everyone who fills out the survey. There is a spot on the survey for your athletes to tell us which club they are racing for - last chance pts. guys!
  • Brenda- awesome! I think the broadcasts are great, except last year was a little less so. Looking forward to giving my 2 cents!
  • Sounds good to me and happy to give an EN shout out to every and anyone.

  • This should be a points gimme for the team. Need to push this hard so we get max participation!

    Great work with this, Brenda.
  • Have not received link yet, but once I do I will send it to the team via email, so everyone will get it in their basket. I agree with Roy. Any triathlete worth their weight is salt usually watches this broadcast. I know it is a not miss for our family.
