Anyone still out there... I'll probably head to Easter service then go to the expo to check in...would be happy to meet someone for a late lunch. Call/text 515-451-4711
William, I just sent out a email to the short list fellow teammates running Boston. Copied below for everyone else:
Greetings to all!
Here is my itinerary so you’ll know where I am and can avoid me if you want to :-) My cell is 207.356.5549
• Staying at the Park Plaza Hotel, arriving Saturday and departing Monday.
• Depending on how Saturday afternoon goes, Carole and I may pop in Dillon’s to say hi, otherwise it will be a quiet evening for us.
• Sunday We plan to walk down to The Poor House for breakfast. They open at 8 so probably around 8:15 or so.
• Midday I want to get an easy few miles in along the Charles River then take a nap before the athlete supper. My ticket is for 6:30 but would prefer an earlier slot, like 5PM if someone has one and wants to trade or isn’t using there pass.
• Race day I am on a private coach thru Golden Adventures so I won’t be on the BAA busses and not using the bag drop.
• At the Athlete Village the past 3 years, in front of the middle school facing east (across from the tennis courts) is the warmest place to hang out. Less congestion, sunny and out of the wind.
Be great to meet up but if not, have a great race!
Steve, I live in RI and I have a 430pm ticket for dinner. I will be driving in race morning, so I will not use.
I have to be at logan 5pm Fri and will pick up my number etc then at Hynes. I will TRY my best to ask the folks at number signin/pickup to put my 430pm ticket into your package (send me your # at email pete.rumsey@mac.com)...that is the best plan i think as I am going to be in and out fast.
I am wave 3 corral 8, so I will be bringing up the rear and tail gunning for you all. This is my first marry, so I am "aiming for the line and not for time:
I am wave 3, corral 1. Still not sure if I am walking the thing or DNS. Barbara and I arrive Sunday afternoon and will likely go straight to the expo. We are staying aroung until Wed. am.
So I am, in but unlike you crazy qualifiers, I am running with my three daughters on a charity number wave 4-7....very back of the pack...thank goodness! I am hoping as a first time marathoner to finish , hoping to 10 min miles, and be able to go to work Tuesday. We have done all of the EN training packet and hope that I won't hold the girls back. We will be wearing Mass Eye and Ear singlets. So if you see four women who all look alike, one old and the others blonde and young...its us! If you have any interest in supporting us or simply reading our story as to why at 57 I feel the need to do this, here is our page. Hope to meet some of you soon. I am a "wicked local" so feel free to call if you need any last minute help, tips or tourist info! 508-525-7950.
Whoo! I should be in for Boston 2016 thanks to Coach P's profound guidance. I cam in 2:36 under the qualify time, so hopefully that gets me in. I think you needed to be about 62 seconds faster than you qualify time last year.
Anyone else in for 2016? I need to get my reservation and travel arrangements made. Anyone have any advice about that? Would be great to hook up with some EN teammates in April.
I am in I hope. I came in 4:03 under my qualifying time. I haven't done any travel arrangements yet, I guess I should soon! I will follow this thread as well to see what others are up too!
Congratulations! I should be in, have ten under BQ (since I am an old lady ). And my husband first time BQer, super excited for him, he worked long and hard for it. Get on the hotel stuff right away. I went through Marathon Tours. But you can also make a reservation now and then watch on Priceline etc for better rates closer to the race when there are cancellations etc. Just be prepared for sticker shock, they charge crazy amounts. I've always stayed near the finish/expo etc. For flights I do it closer to the race, living in the DFW metroplex I have many options.

Coach P is in Wave 1-7. Leading from the front. Nice work Coach!
William and Steve are in 2-1, followed by Derrick in 2-2, and I am in in 2-7.
Giselle is in 3-2 while Al and Anu are both in 3-4.
Race day weather looks fantastic. The Wunderground forecast has gun time in Hopkinton partly cloudy at 46* with a SW breeze at 7 mph.
Boston at 2PM looks like it will be mostly sunny, 59* with a SW breeze at 12 mph.
Really hard to imagine weather any better for racing!
