Health concern

 Coaches & whoever else may view this as I'm still uncertain if I'm posting in correct spot.  But this appears to be of immediate concern.  After coming off PR at IM WI  ( finished 8th in AG/ 11:37 )and before doing Chicago Marathon ( I know....but wait ) I went in for physical. Had a little discomfort during training about  7 weeks out and only on hard runs.  Race went great but that same discomfort appeared a few times in latter portion of race.  Diagnosis: Ventricular tachycardia & dysrhythmia.  Cardiologist laid down law & life is pretty boring right now.  Oct 30 I have surgery ( ablation ) where they will hopefully cauterize area causing the problem .....and I pray i'll be good to return to normal life.   Most likely I'll be putting stuff on hold for awhile but wanted to thank you for your help this year and also ask if you have any information or know of anyone who has undergone this?  Still pretty surreal.

Take it easy. Forget about the chicago marathon. Get yourself treated. Remind yourself how lucky you are that the diagnosis wasn't made the hard way. Remind yourself about all the important things in life. After your procedure, the doctors will tell you if you have limitations and you can deal with those later. Good luck with your ablation. Thoughts are with you.

@Sue, holy WTF! While I am so sorry to hear of this, I am so happy that you and I are still talking about it. Many, including some of our own, have not been so fortunate. Sue- that's very scary. I am so glad you went in to have it checked and are a path to recovery. I don't have any medical advice to offer except to say- good luck.

Hi Coach P...just had MRI of heart today and ive been told ive been put 1st on list if earlier date than Oct 30 opens up. Thx for your offer of paid hold membership. My plans are to go on hold now and rejoin with EN when I'm hopefully cleared for action again! I'm being optimistic but that's what I have to do now. Thanks for all the support and ill keep you posted!
