Fan For The Pain Cave - Any Suggestions?

I know this was discussed a couple of years back but can't find that thread. So . . .

Do any of you have a suggestion for a good fan to use in my pain cave? My little crappy one barely moves air.

Others have make comments about having a remote for their fan - wish I did.....

I've got a Voranado that sits on the floor in from of my trainer or deadmill works great (except the lack of remote). Got it at WalMart for a few years ago, still going strong. Rarely ever use Med or High speed cause they're too windy!

I have a Lasko Cyclone I got at target. It's got three speeds, low, high and hurricane-force...and a (short range) remote! Cheap! I've never had it above the middle setting when on my trainer.

Good question Stark....I was just mulling over that same thing yesterday. I absolutely HATE the trainer....I have so much more trouble holding power for 15-20mins in Z4 on the trainer vs. on the road. I often end up shortening my FTP intervals b/c I just can't stand the pain. I've just been riding with the overhead ceiling fan on high, but sweat like crazy. Maybe this will help me fight through it.

I use the Air King. It's not cheap but puts out massive amounts of air. I only use it on level 2 and it's plenty. Also reasonably quiet given the amount of air it puches.

Thanks for all the comments. I had a smaller spot where I want it to sit so I went with the Vornado (see pic). We also have a Vornado space heater that we have been using for 8 or so years and works great. So I know it is a good brand.

Used it for the first time today and worked great on the lowest level. Not sure I will ever need it higher.
