Goal Pace Run

I'm on my second week of my Run Durability Block 1 and it seems each week I have a run session which is:

 '30' as 4 to 6 strides, remainder @ GRP (Goal Race Pace)'

My query is with regards to Goal Race Pace. Which 'race' would this be referring to? And how would I know that pace?

  • @Cliff the RDP was initially written for Ironman athletes; in this case you can halve the difference between your Zone 1 and Zone 2 paces. So if your Z1 = 10:00/mile and your Z1= 8:40/mile, then you would target 9:20/mile pace...not too hard, just really consistent running with good cadence and excellent form.
