Jolene Mitchell's race survey screencast
Rich, you mentioned on my Season Plan Screencast that you wanted to know more about my injury since I start OS in November. I had a torn labrum in my hip and had surgery to repair it in January. I was a very good patient and went to months of PT and didn't bike or run until I was allowed and then listened to my body when returning to training (which is extremely hard to do for us triathletes). I have no problems with swimming (other than lack of skill) or on the bike. My running has taken longer, but am now feeling good and am careful not to overtrain. I have a good base, but haven't done much with speedwork. I did an easy century ride a few weeks ago and the longest I have run so far is about 8 miles. Am I at a good place to start OS? I would've considered myself intermediate (13 hour ironman), but listening to your video it sounds like a may be a beginner after my injury. What would you recommend?

If you're doing an 8 mile run I think you're good. Wk1 will have a 5k running test and then we have Tempo intervals in a couple of the runs each week. Just be smart and if in doubt, do you know you need to do (run easier and/or shorter) to keep yourself healthy.
I recommend starting the Beginner, see how it goes and maybe bump into the Intermediate if you feel good about it.
