Champion Systems Tri Gear Questions

does anyone have any experience in ordering from this company. Charity I am involved with is ordering team gear here. I am interested to know quality and if people know how their sizing runs?

Reach out to Dino. Pasadena Tri Club uses ChampSys, he's the Pres

  • good quality, super fast respond from staff, size pretty much spot on for tri apparels. for cycling, be careful when ordering (club cut or fit cut) . My tri and cycling club have been with them for 6 years now. Cycling tops, tritops, trisuit are super durable, cycling bibs not so much (i have a cycling jersey from 6 years ago that i use at least once a week, still looks brand new). We are in the process of changing design for next season and will continue with them. I think i saw some early EN jersey from Champ system...
  • They do all or club stuff. When we used other makers, we could only order annually because of minimums, etc. With CS, we order quarterly. The stiff is fine. The quality is middle of the road, but the customization, design team and next to nothing minimums make them the best provider we have worked with. Once they develop your over all design, they can translate it to just about anything. Then individuals can order whatever they want. Say one guy wants an old school cycling cap. He can have it. They will make a ton of one off stuff as long as your total piece number makes the minimum for the price break you want.

If someone misses the order, and they want one kit, they can have it. Price will be higher, but CS will make them one kit.

I would highly recommend them for clubs, charities, etc.
  • Thanks Dino, my questions are more about Fit, do I order down or up?

I am not the decider here, the are already going with it, I am trying to find out where this stuff is fit wise. EG, I am now a 29-20" waist, I assume that is an M in bottoms

I am a 40-41" chest, can i get into a medium top? or should i go large? Alot of larges are now very loose on me. I did find that the Zoot tri tops being sold in Kona were better though in L for example.

I have also found a couple of posts to take the "long" option on these items when available, even for a guy like me that is only 5'8 and has a relatively shorter trunk..

  • My champion Tri shorts are a size L and they are too big. I have a 32" (and shrinking) waist. They fit fine when I had a 34" waist. I am getting size M for 2014.
