  • TGIF to all my En Teammates.
I will be kicking off the weekend by meeting some of my friends from the South Tampa Posse Cycling Team at Mad Dogs Pub. We will no doubt contemplate the deluge of rainfall we are having and its effects on the Squiggy Classic Time Trials we are racing on Saturday morning. The weather guy says it will clear by morning but you know how predictable they are. After the Time Trial its time to get back to the training plan and do my long ride and run.
Sunday we are going up to San Antonio, that's in Florida not Texas but just as popular with cyclists since its one of the best places to ride the hills in the state. Its fast and furious, the best local training for us who will enter the September Six Gap Century in Dahlonega, GA.
    Have a great weekend all!

Translation:  I have some cool ass wicked plans for this weekend and I can't wait to gloat about them by posting pics of amazingly beautiful scenery that will make you all sooooooo jealous!

  • hahaha...I think you might be spot on with this observation.  Still, more rainy weather here in Atlanta so looking forward to seeing anyone enjoying cool stuff in beautiful places

  • I'm playing with my new toy this weekend.  Hence not much running and biking

  • Sweet Elise, you get the SC? Lots of fun at the track although the small steering wheel took me awhile to get used too image They are wonderfully neutral handling cars, completely different than my rear heavy baby.

For us it was two days in the basement on the trainer. Trying to get some bike fitness up to ToC caliber so that I am not completely embarrassed. On season 3 of dexter so that is always a fun way to pass the time.

  • Trent: That is one cool looking car!

I just got back from rainy Philadelphia for a conference for Medical Directors of Wound Clinics. We were all sitting around looking at slides of foot ulcers and butt sores while munching our dinners. Not a pretty picture, but it did get me all pumped up about my job. Now I'm trying to get my taxes done. No one should have to look at a picture of that!

So where's the cool pics, vids, and report for Coach Rich's awesome bike adventure?!

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn that's nice. Can't see how a bike rack is going to fit on the roof, though.

Oh- see I just figured it was one of those Trasformer Cars- probably turns into a Pinarello at the push of a button. ;-)
  • @Trent - my little brother has that car too, you have to throw a REALLY wicked yoga move to get in it, for a big guy anyway. It takes a while to used to staring at the license plate in front of you, you sit sooo low on the street. It really fun to drive though, corners like a cat!
  • @Trent: Sweet ride! Here's a picture of my new love. Now all I need is a new 2-wheeler to match!!

  • Pictures and some video coming soon. I decided to not ride Sunday, as I'm actually begining to schedule recovery and days off into my calendar. I still put up 12-13hrs of very hard cycling, even with 4 days off last week

Is this the new Giant Trinity that I've been hearing about?  Cool alloy rims by Zipp.

  • Awesome pics guys! Trent and Peter, LUV the cars! I won't bother posting a pic of my 2000 Saturn! LOL!
Dan, fantastic picture! You are DOING it! Would love to be there right now!
  • Dan- that's just gorgeous!!! WOW!
  • Now that's a guy that comes prepared! If I went to Arizone in March I never would have though of the cold weather gear. Great pics hope you got some sunshine and warmth as well.

  • Louisville Kentucky - greatest roads in the mid-west.

  •  @Dan's pics are my backyard...... see where the best of the best are training this year????   Welcome to my playground!  Just so happens Dan and his team were here on what hands down was an INCREDIBLE weekend to be riding in KY.  Super weather!

P.S.  Dan- agree, I would put CO up there too!

  • Colorado, California, Utah. They are unique for obvious reasons but those are places we'd have to fly to get to.. L'ville was a 7 hour drive. You be hard pressed to find better riding anywhere, especially in March. Bloomington Indiana maybe?
