EN Marathon Relay Challenge
Hi Folks
The OutSeason has started for many, but there are plenty who have just raced or are biding their time until January. To keep you motivated and connected, we are pleased to present::
The 2013 Marathon Relay Challenge
That's right, time to get your suffering on. We are looking for teams of 4 (@ 6.55 miles each) or 2 (@ 13.1 miles each) looking to rip it up for annual bragging rights. To be 100% clear, each 4-person team will run 6.55 miles each and the 2-person ULTRA team runs 13.1 miles each.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1 - Contest runs over the weekend of November 16,17.
2 - You can run on treadmill or outside.
3 - Ideally you run your “leg” in one try, but you can run your portion over multiple days (ex: 6.55 miles over 3 days.

Not sure but I have always wanted to d a full marathon on my Deadmill... maybe I'll give it a try.
Midwest Sleeper Cell! I started the Looking California Feeling MN/WI Co-Ed Team. Who else is in?
@Dawn - I'm game if you're interested in a Minnesota-Wisconsin team!
@Sue - Yes, let's do it!
We're now officially the Looking California Feeling MN/WI team.
Hi Roy -
I'd be happy to join you in the challenge from DC. Have to admit, though, my times are not what they were due to a not serious but ridiculously long-lasting bout with bronchitis. Can promise to finish the miles, but not a particular time at the moment. So, feel free to go another way if you'd understandably prefer to avoid the caveat.

All you other teams might as well just as well stay on the couch next weekend, we got this!
The way I figure it, while you NOVA peeps are standing around comparing black toenails, I'll be hammering away at a solo deadmill marathon.....
I'll wait till after the run to worry about a few toenails......
Alright...four person Texas team created - "Team Texas: Where Everyone Is Fast"
Right now it's me and Jeff Braaten. We're looking for two more peeps to join us! Come on Texans..make the Lonestar state proud!
I will do it, but am not fast. Current vdot 41. I won't cry if you want to hold out for someone faster!
I'm up for the challenge if there are any Rocky Mountain peeps looking to get in the game. Anyone interested?
What, there's no one else in MN/WI who's up to joining Sue Chapman and myself?
Huh...
Looking for one more DC / NOVA area all-star to join the team that's going to smoke everyone else the marathon challenge. Just a few more days til we open up for free-agent transfers from across the nation (possibly international). Any takers? FYI, we've already been approached by Meb, Ryan, and Shalane, so act fast.
Edit, ok so nova dc team has 3 people so we each run 8.7 this weekend. Am I tracking?
Lets do this
26.2 in 3:43:53 BOOM!
First ever marathon on a DeadMill! Not a PR but only 15 minutes slower than my PR 4 weeks ago.
Pre run: 32 oz coffee, 20 oz Infinite @ 250 cal.
During run: 4x 24 oz water, 5 Gu
Took 1 2 minute potty break at mile 5.7 (49:34 -> 52:32) with the Garmin stopped.
Only other pauses in running were to change DVD (Matrix !! -> Matrix III) and turn on second fan, or to get supplies off table.
Horizontal grid lines are at average pace (8:32) and HR (157).
