My USAT Data was screwed up!

Just a heads up warning for people to check the data in their USAT membership to make sure it is correct.... More specifically the USAT number and birthdate....

While confirming my KONA registration it kept telling me to input the correct USAT membership number , I checked , double checked and re-typed the USAT number off my card that expires 12/31/14 only to receive the same message... Then I logged onto my USAT account and they had a different USAT #..... OKay I typed that one in... Then I received your birthdate does not match.... So I check that and they had flipped the day and month so instead of my correct bday of 5/12/62  they had 12/5/62..... Okay I tried to correct that in the USAT profile and it wouldnt let me... An email into support and they apologized and fixed the birthdate for me ,  and told me at some point I had 2 USAT accounts with different numbers??? They were sending out a new card to me...  This is crazy because I just signed up for Ironman Chattanooga with all the same data just a couple months ago with no issues... I hadnt changed anything or updated anything since...

If I were trying to get into IMFL or IMAZ where time was of the essence ..... never would have happened.

    Had a similar experience (not signing up for Kona though lol!...Congrats btw!) I did indeed have 2 memberships, under my full and nick name (first name). Was a bit of a cluster and took a while to sort out. Now I'm good to go. image

    Tim, I'm assuming you signed up for some race recently and had to renew your USAT membership because the race was after your USAT expired.

    @Bob... Nope and that was my issue.... I had renewed my USAT prior to Registering for Ironman Chattanooga so I have had an expiration date of 12/14 .... I registered for IMCHOO online through the debacle with no issues on my USAT number or birthdates.... Fast forward to a couple days ago.... I had changed nor updated anything since IMCHOO registration and yet everything was different.

    USAT did explain that I somehow had 2 accounts at one point, most probably occurred like you said having to update one prior to a race, I then probably used Tim vs Timothy.... But none of that explains why I had a card with a 12/14 expiration date and my USAT online account having the same exact expiration date with different numbers...

    They also didn't really answer the reason why my B-date was screwed up ... saying something like a Race Director may have reported it wrong ...LOL they get the info from me and it has been correct all along.... Very Strange... Glad I caught it during a non time is of the essence IM registration process like IMCHOO was!
