Just finished the Long Course Bike Execution download. Really helpful info, just wondering where I would find the wattage calculator spreadsheet?

Go to the Train Map under "Resources" (in the big red bar above ^ . Click on Race Execution. In Written Content, Select More Information, then download and unzip "Racing with Power". There is an Excel spreadsheet there which might be what you're looking for. And/or, in the same place (Race Execution), select Downloads, then download Half and Full Ironman Execution. Pages 7 and 8 of the PDF file are THE MOST IMPORTANT things you should use when you race.
Thanks Al, will do!
The wattage calculator in the spreadsheet lists the gears for Half Ironman. Is that correct?
George,
Everything you need can be found on/at the links behind the HIM How-To wiki post. Just download the spreadsheet in the Race Kit, everything is in there.
Coach R,
I downloaded the spreadsheet and it says Wildflower, Half Ironman Wattage Calculator. Is also the calculator for IM? Help?

George
Yes, it's the right spreadsheet. Please read the accompanying .pdf for complete instructions. From the .pdf, my notes in red below:
Step #3: Determine Pacing for Race Day
• Open up the appropriate Endurance Nation Power Racing Calculator. There is only one calculator
• Enter your name, FTP determined from Step #3.
• Enter the IF you've extracted from Step #4 Be sure to use the appropriate TSS table (they are the tabs of the spreadsheet, one is for HIM, one is for IM) to exact an IF. This will go in the spreadsheet in the cell where I have entered 85% for my own pacing for Wildflower
• The spreadsheet will calculate your "Wattage Gears" for you. Note that the gears (ie, what % of your goal watts we want you to ride, given hills, etc), is the same for both HIM and IM racing. What changes from HIM to IM racing is the % of your FTP that you ride at, over all. So, using myself as an example,
FTP = 300w
I (not you, you use the TSS tables to determine YOUR percentage of FTP) will ride at 85% of FTP for a half Ironman = 255w for the entire race. How I'm going to get there is by riding the Wattage Gears:
For an Ironman I would ride at 75% of FTP. I just go to the spreadsheet, change 85% to 75%, it calcs my gears, done.
Coach R,
Now I understand. I had a temporary episode of panic when I noticed the subtitle of the chart as Half Ironman. This is my first IM and am nursing an left ankle sprain and right plantar faciitis, so, I plan to use concervative Goal Watts - 70% at 5:40. FTP - 242. I played around with 5:40 and 5:50 and the outcome did not change alot.
Thanks again,
George
