This is so timely... I need to post the official Turkey Day modification. Here are your options for a Turkey Week that has a race on Thursday (if your Race is Saturday, then just do week as planned and flip Sat/Sunday workouts, where the race counts as your Sunday Run!):



#1 - Want to crush / do best at race.

* Make Wednesday a light run day of 30' with some strides.

* Thursday Race.

* Friday is the Thursday Bike.

* Saturday and Sunday as planned.



#2 - Just running and suffering, thanks!

* Move Thursday bike to Wed AM (yes, back to back Tues/Wed bikes)

* Race Thursday.

* Friday off, Sat and Sun as planned.



If you will be on "the road" and unable to bike for Wed-Saturday, I suggest you plan on doubling down on the Tuesday / Thursday bikes on Monday/Tuesday. Wed is Travel/OFF. Thursday is your Race Day (or your Wed Run). Friday is a 45' Steady run with Strides. Saturday is the Sunday long run. Sunday is either OFF (travel) or a 45' Steady run with Strides…then back to regular plan come Monday!!!
