WSD Equipment

Has anyone used WSD Shift levers?  My hands were cramping during the ride this week.  I'm having a tougher time this year grabbing my brakes ( yes, I do brake downhill)  Do the WSD levers make a difference.  I have Campy 10 Chorus, so I'm not sure how difficult they would be to change out.

  • I've tried them out. I actually found them to be too small for my liking, but I have long pianist fingers.

  • In fact, I have a set of 9sp WSD shifters. I converted my bike to 10sp and purchased another set of adjustable/small shifters. My hands are pretty small (OK- I know, you all are getting tired of the "Nemo has freakishly small X" stuff- if there's ever a question about butts I promise I will NOT be boasting of having anything in that department which is freakishly small!).

ANYHOOOOOO I was planning on selling them for a fair price. The trick is that they are 9sp Triple.
  • I know it is the women's fourm, but I'll share my thoughts since I'm pretty close to be a member of the lil peeps club.

I really like the SRAM rival shifters I switched to because the hood is not as big as the shimano ones and I find them more comfortable. Plus the reach is adjustable so you can fine tune the shift and brake lever to be exactly where you want them. The force and red versions have the same feature, but cost more as they are lighter.

Unfortunatly the SRAM stuff would not work with a Campy derallieur so you would have to at least buy shifters, a rear deraillieur, and probably a cassette to make it work. You should be able to keep the same front derailleur, brakes, crank, etc though.
