Cold....

So, of course going into OS week 4 and I have come down with an awful cold UGH!!!! I have no time to be sick!

Look for the best remedies to get ride of a cold FAST..... ready GO!

  • I am in the same boat as you. I usually make a few things that make me feel more like a rock star:

    1) Pumpkin soup with cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh ginger... All for your throat and immune system. I use coconut milk for the "cream" portion.
    2) wheatgrass is amazing for this
    3) apple, beet, celery, parsley and ginger juice
    4) tomato bisque
    5) creamy broccoli soup... But I use avocado as the cream base.

    While I'm vegan and never do dairy... Dairy is mucus forming, so I would recommend avoiding it in any soups you make.

    Anything you normally prepare?
  • @ Larry- Thanks! Started that yesterday...not quite as much as recommended there, but the same idea. 

    @ Terra- Thanks!! That all sounds great and will def try it out!!  I am vegan as well and lately been drinking double green smoothies to try and kick this....I have been eating lots of greens...all day!! Hope you feel better soon!!

  • I just went through this. What I did was:

    3x a day:
    Drink diluted apple cider vinegar
    Raw garlic
    Oregano pill

    I also drank a ton of water and popped vitamin C throughout the day. The cold didn't last too long for me.
  • Thanks guys! Am starting to feel a little better but I'm going to continue with all the above till i'm back at 100%.
