Rich Smith's Macro Thread

Hi...I just updated my 2014 Season Planning Survey, adding IMAZ (registered today).  My current season road map was based on 70.3 races only for next year.

Anything I need to do differently right now?  I am on the November OS Beginner Week 4.

Just by the way, Team EN is what's given me the confidence to sign up for a full 140.6 race...I am super excited.

Ok, thanks. I'll get this done for you this week.

  • Hey Coaches!

I am finishing up with the OS in a couple of weeks (loved it, great fitness gains) and I load up the Swim Camp training plan next.  I was looking at the workouts and the swim e-book, and I have a question about hacking my new plan.  I am a good swimmer (HIM :34 at easy intensity, can do 1:30/100yds in a short course pool basically indefinitely) and I am a little dismayed to see all of the swim drills in my upcoming workouts.

Is there a swim workout hack for good swimmers?  I checked the wiki and didn't see anything; maybe there is another ENer who has cracked this who you can point me toward.  I don't want to be overthinking this (maybe drills are what I need [NOOOOO!!!!]) but that swim camp workout schedule makes me want to stay in the OS for another two weeks.  Is that an option?  I am an ok cyclist and a slow runner and the OS has really jumpstarted some gains in those disciplines.

    Sorry for the rambly post.

    Thanks!

Ok, that sounds good. Yeah, stay in the OS until Wk 13 and then transition over to the HIM plan, setting it to end on Cali.
