Just bought the little model that sits on a rubber band bracelet. It doesn't absorb sweat or get dirty/stinky. I like it because I can wear it 24/7. The print on the unit is tiny, so I hope the paramedics have reading glasses.
We are still going with Originals for the whole family. I figure some of the information (especially blood type) is something that I want them to see immediately....not have to access a website or make a phone call.
I use the velcro ankle strap. I wear it during all races (along with all runs, rides, OWS, and skiing), where it does double duty by holding the timing chip.
Funny, though, when I crashed and the medics called my wife, they used my cell phone in my bike jersey pocket to find her number. Remember to make an emergency number easily visible on your phone - that's the first place most people look, not at your wrist or ankle
After my Anaphylactic Reaction to Penicillin the day after IMNYC last yr, I bought a Black slim original that I wear 24/7/365. After a few weeks I forgot about it. Now I don't have to put it on when I run or ride or race, etc... It's ALWAYS on.

I put my dad on there because Jess and I often ride at the same time while my parents watch the kids. I guess I need to add my blood type to it.
Also, my wife's name in my cell phone is: Jess - ICE so hopefully that would help
Always On (even if I am technically "out of uniform").
{Public Service Announcement} --- Parents, I highly recommend you get the Slim ID for your kids. Especially if you go to any amusement parks, malls, etc. Our kids wear theirs 24.7.365. They are a great stocking stuffer...just sayin'
Not sure if this is true, maybe any MDs we have can chime in, but I've heard that even if you have your blood type listed on an emergency thing, they'll check it quickly anyways. I actually just ordered my RoadID the other day. I went with original. Even with some health conditions I have, I was able to get all the main details on it. Here's to hoping I never need it!
