Travel Advise - week and half

Hello Patrick - I am traveling to India and Thailand (on business) November 30th - December 11th.  What do you think about these adjustments? I am planning on moving up the Nov-30 and Dec-1 training into Nov-29 and Nov30, and then take off Nov-30 afternoon and Dec-1 all day given I will be in transit.  I will be in India December 2 - 6, so limited to a treadmill and stationary bike (as work will permit).  I will then have to take Dec 7th off (travelling to Bangkok), and will try to get some treadmill and stationary bike sessions between Dec 8 - 10 before heading back to NY. Dec 11 - 12 I will more than likely need some time off to adjust before I head out for a vacation in Europe (Dec 13 - 24), but let's cover that after I come back from Asia. (In Europe I will have access to a pool, gym and outdoor running, so I should be back to normal minus jetlag or any other issues I pick up along the way.)

Thanks in advance,

Pavol

  • Hello Patrick - sorry to be bugging you about this again. Is there anything I have done wrong w/ this post / question not to get an answer? Thanks again!

  • Pavol, so sorry...it must have just passed off the main page and I missed it. My apologies! Given your days off / travel and limited time on the ground, I would try to get in the weekday intervals as best you can (2 bikes and 1 run), then have the "fourth" day be a nice steady run with just a few pick ups at the end. Once you are in Europe we want to get back to the longer stuff...you should be okay then just sticking with the regular week but perhaps dropping goal effort / intensity back a notch so the full week is achievable.

Spoiler Alert: If you are in November OS, you have a testing week coming up so you might have to put that off for a bit until you get home...let me know!
