Edwin Croucher's Body Comp Question
Rich, Missed the Monday night Chat on body comp. I listened to it just this morning. During my last workout, I followed the fueling that Patrick suggested. My workout lasted 1:40 and burned 1190 calories. My calculations for my the workout were 1050 cal intake during workout.(450 cal gel + 600 cal Infinit) I used 3 gels and 2 bottles of Infinit. I didn't have any e-fuel available for that workout. That would have reduced my calories from the Infinit 600 to 160 for 2 bottles of e-fuel. My body comp is not a real big concern for me right now. I'm 5'11" & 158 lbs. However, I would like to hit my A race at 152 lbs to 155 lbs. Do you follow the workout fueling regimine that Patrick recommended? ie: 15' before the workout have a gel. Then make your drinks, I use Ironman Perform and aim for 24oz every 45 minutes.Start your workout.Have next gel at 15' mark, Drink every 5' on the bike.Continue with gels every 30 minutes, as :15, :45, 1:15, etc.
