Jed Kwartler 2014 season

A little ways off but will be climbing Kilimanjaro from march 5-18 2014. Trekking/hiking 5-7 hours per day from 11000-20000 F altitude. Any adjustments to make in overall plan either before or after?

I think you'll be fine with the OS on the front end. Let's see how you feel when you get back and we'll talk about the back end.

  • Where are the webinar links to watch the ones I've missed. Figure it's better than watching football. Happy thanksgiving
  • They are in a post pinned to the top of the NovOS forum

  • Getting ready for Kilimanjaro trek starting 3/5. Will get training in through departure. Any further thoughts on after? Returning 3/18.
  • Nope, just hit me up when you get back. Have fun! A friend of mine and his wife did that last year, epic trip!
  • Back from Kilimanjaro. Great climbing. 6-8 a day like doing lunges or stair climber at altitude for 10 days. The next two weeks would be swim focus I think but should I also continue OS bike/run stuff. Or do OS and just add in swims. Thanks
  • Below is the SP I did for you back on October. Are these races still accurate? If not, please take the Season Planning Survey, under the Training tab above and I'll rework it for you.

  • Didn't do Todd HM. Too close to trip/climbing. Just kept up with OS until departure. Not doing Blackbear during red IM training period. So just switch over to swim focus I assume? My legs feel loaded up from all the climbing so might be the smart move anyway. Thanks for direction.
  • Yes, do the Swim Camp plan and then follow your RoadMap from there.
