Ok...did you need me to do something? Do I need to create a Season RoadMap for you? If yes, please submit your schedule of races via the Season Planning Survey under the Training Plan tab above.
Sorry, you need to give me some context or something to make sense of your post. Thanks!
Thanx
Hi David, Glad to see you're doing the full Vineman. If you've done the Napa Vintage half you will do fine on the full Vineman. I did the Napa and the full Vineman in 2012 and the full Vineman had about 4600 ft of elevation gain as opposed to the Napa HIM at over 5200 ft (according to my Garmin which I used on both). The Vineman is most on rolling hills around the edges of the valley and flats on the valley floor. You'll hear a lot about Chalk Hill but it's really pretty short but steep towards the top. Concentrate on some hill work and you will be fine. Most of the Vineman is not steep hills. I usually stay in the aerobars for most of the hills. Here's the link to my Garmin file so you can see the profile http://www.trainingpeaks.com/av/INDQKIZGMXWFAC3QHNJH4K4VHA
The run is three laps out and back (they give you bracelets when you come back to the beginning/ finish area so you can keep track.) There are a couple of steep hills and I usually end up taking my walk breaks on parts of them just to keep my heart rate and rpe in check. The run course has aid stations every mile at least and the volunteers have been great the 3 times I've done it. The first mile+ out is through town and is usually really crowded with spectators so you pass that stretch 6 times and it helps to have everyone cheering for you. Here's the link to my run http://tpks.ws/7u42
Let me know if you have any other questions. Once we get closer I'll give you some of the lowdown on the swim. It's a little different since it's in a river! Don't worry, there's very little current.
Thanx for the info!
Ive done HITs Napa 70.3 the last 2 years. Quite a bit of hills on bike & run (less so on bike last year new course). Will defenetly do sim rides on trainer. Hilly full 112 kinda spooks me though Not much options for real hill run/rides here, but will be doing (uggh) hill work on treadmill in MAr/Aprill as I am doing the Mt Lemmon Marathon again in my home town (Tucson AZ) in April- it's a full marathon all up hill (exept small dip arround mile 21-23). 3Kto 8+K Fun! I'll also need to heat aclimate I'm sure.
