John Moran's Macro Thread
Coach Rich-
Wasn't sure if this was a micro or macro question, but seems more macro- I have IMMT 70.3 on June 22nd. Friends + family are all signing up for 1/2 marathon run on sunday May 25th. This will be week 17 of HIM int. plan, so have long bikes on sat + sun, but there is a HIM Run of 120 minutes scheduled for thursday May 22nd (though at z2, etc). Should I pass on the 1/2 marathon run on the 25th and just stick to schedule or could I rearrange week 17, run the half and not adversely impact the HIM a month later? I would say I would run the half at a training pace, but I don't really trust myself to do that... Long ways off, but everyone is signing up now so I need a go/no go.
thanks! John Moran

Notes:
Big changes to my entire year plan needed- I assume. I was planning on IMMT 70.3 on June 22, but due to vacation conflicts with my family, I no longer can do this. I am signing up for a local Olympic distance race instead on the same day (June 22). Also, changes to other HIM, instead of the Pumpkinman HIM in early sept, I have signed up for Princeton 70.3 on Sept 21.
So, besides the multiple sprint distance races that I don't need to really plan around, I have 2 "A" races- the Olympic on June 22 and the Princeton 70.3 on Sept 21. When you have time can you modify my year plan based on this? This is solid now and, barring injury, don't expect it to change. No hurry as I still have 4 weeks left in my OS plan.
Thanks- John
John,
Please take the Season Planning Survey under the Training tab above. This will put this into planning cue, with everything I need from you. and I'll get it done. However, lots of new members coming on board next week so I probably won't get it done until week after next. Thanks.
